Drumstick Curry || Drumstick Masala Curry
Drumstick Curry recipe is the one of the Indian sidedish which is eaten with rice. Drumstick cooked different way in different places in India. I prepared this recipe similar in odia cuisine. So let's see how to make.....
INGREDIENTS
- Drumsticks - 5
- FOR MASALA PASTE
- Tomato - 2
- Onion - 1
- Green chili - 1
- Garlic - 4
- Ginger - 1 piece
- Mustard seeds - ½ teasp
- Cumin seeds - ½ teasp
- Coriander Seeds - ½ teasp
- Coconut - 3 to 5 small pieces
- DRY MASALA
- Red chili powder - 1 teasp
- Turmeric powder- 1 teasp
- Salt - 1 teasp
- Water - ⅓ cup
- Mustard Oil - 2 tablespoon
PREPARATION METHOD
- Cut and peel drumsticks into 3 inch pieces
- Wash in water
- Put cleaned drumsticks in a pan
- Add 200 ml water
- Boil for 5 minutes or till half cooked
- Now prepare masala for gravy
- Put Tomato,Onion, Green chili, Garlic, Ginger, Mustard seeds, Cumin seeds,Coriander Seeds, Coconut and water ½ cup in a grinder jar
- Make a fine paste
- Now take another bow, add ½ cup water and all dry masala
- Mix everything well & prepare a paste
- Now heat a kadhai, add 2 to 3 tbsp of mustard oil
- Add dry masala paste
- Suddenly close lid on pan after adding paste
- Saute for few seconds
- Now add prepared wet masala and cook for 2 mins on lowflame
- Now add boiled drumsticks, Saute for few seconds
- Add remaining drumstcks boiled water
- Saute everything, Cook for 3 mins on lowflame
- Adjust water according to your requirement for gravy
- Serve hot with cooked rice
