Instant thandai recipe || Thandai masala
In India different types of food and drinks prepared in different festivals. Thandai is one of the must popular drink as well. Thandai means cool drink. This drink prepared in specially shivratri and holi festivals.
Traditionally so many dry fruits and spices are soaked in water then grounded and mixed with boiled and cooled milk.
This drink is as healthy as tasty. You can make this drink not only at festivals but also on any normal day. Especially in summer, drink cool and in winter and rainy seasons consume hot milk. You can prepare different flavours of thandai like paan thandai, Gulab thandai, mango thandai and classic thandai etc...

INGREDIENTS
- Almond - ½ Cup
- Cashewnuts - ½ Cup
- Pistachios - ½ Cup
- Watermelon Seeds - ½ Cup
- Cardamom - 6 pieces
- Black Pepper - ¼ Cup
- Sugar Candy /Sugar - 1 Cup
- Fennel Seeds - ¼ Cup
For chilled thandai
- Add all ingredients in a grinder jar
- Grind for 1 min
- Store it in a dry container
- Take 1 tbsp of thandai powder for 1 glass thandai
- Pur it in a grinder jar
- Add boiled and cool milk , add fresh rose petals,sugar,ice-cubes and 2 tbspn of rose syrup
- Blend it
- Now your thandai is ready to served
- Add 1 to 2 tbspn of masala in 250 ml milk
- Add sugar as per your taste
- Boil for 2 minutes
- Pour in a mug
- Ready to serve hot milk
FOR FLAVOURED THANDAI
- Add 2 tbsp of masala with 250ml of cold milk in a grinder jar
- Add chopped ripe banana for banana flavour thandai
- Add chopped mango for mango flavor
- Add 2 tbsp of rose syrup and fresh rose petals for rose flavour
- Add 2 betel leaves and 1 tbsp of gulkand for paan flavour thandai
- Blend smooth
- Now ready to serve
