Bhature recipe without curd |How to make chole bhature
Chole bhature is a famous breakfast recipe from punjab (India). Traditionally it's dough prepared with all purpose flour, carom seeds, oil and curd. After preparing dough roll as puri and deep fry in hot oil. I am preparing without curd. So let's start....
What is Bhature?
Bhatura (also known as Batura, Bhatura) is a puffed deep-fried sourdough bread. originating from the Indian subcontinent. It is commonly served as a lunch or beakfast. dish in northern and eastern India. When it. is mixed with chickpea curry (called chole or chana), It forms a traditional dish called chole bhature.
Generally the taste of Bhature is slightly sour and curd is used to make bhature sour. But I will teach you how to make bhature without curd. Bhature is also delicious without curd.I am sure you will also make very tasty and perfect Bhature. Bhature tastes delicious when it served with chickpeas curry. Bhature can be made with three easy steps. -First of all knead the dough. - After this, rest the kneaded dough for 10 minutes and after 10 minutes, roll out the puri and fry it in hot oil till both side crispy.
Ingredients Used in Bhature
Maida All purpose flour is basic or main ingredient
Salt is added to enhance the taste
Oil is used to make it crispy or crunchy
Baking soda is used to make it fluffy
Carom seeds is used to make it easier to digest. Since Bhature takes a long time to digest, carom seeds is added to helps in digestion.
PREPARATION METHOD
- Take a deep bowl, Put 2 cup of maida
- Add ½ teasp of salt,1 teasp of carom seeds, 2 tbsp of oil and ¼ teasp of baking soda
- Mix all ingredients together
- Now add water gradually
- Knead a medium hard dough
- Cover a wet cloth on dough ,rest for 15 mins
- After 15 mins, prepare big lemon sizes balls
- Sprinkle some maida on rolling board or you can use oil for rolling
- If you use oil then apply oil on rolling board and rolling pin
- Put a ball on board, slightly flatten ball with the help of your fingers
- Roll it evenly and carefully
- Make oval or round shape as per your choice
- Keep slightly thick
- Now heat oil in a deep kadhai
- Don't take few or less oil, put sufficient oil in deep pan
- Once oil is fully hot, keep the flame medium
- Take one rolled bhature and carefully put it in hot oil
- For better result, at the time of frying slightly tap on the bhature with the help of oil strainer
- By doing this the bhature puffs up well
- After one side puffs and fried properly
- Flip otherside, fry till crispy
- Fry both side crispy
- Take it out from oil and keep in a plate
- Serve with hot chole curry

- All purpose flour (Maida) - 2 Cup
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Carom Seeds - 1 teasp
- Salt - ½ teasp
- Baking Soda - ¼ teasp
- Oil - ½ Litre for frying
- Water as per required

- Now heat oil in a deep kadhai. Deep fry bhature in hot oil. Fry both side till crispy
- Notes -:
- If you want to make healthy bhature then add 50% maida and 50% wheat flour (atta) and rest of the process is same
- Heat oil properly then slow down flame and fry bhature in medium hot oil
- Don't take few or less oil, put sufficient oil in deep pan. It will helps to make puffy
- Frying in less oil does not puff up well
