Mushrooms are prepared in different ways in India. Like dried mushroom masala, pepper mushroom, mushroom chilli, and Mushroom Manchurian. Mushrooms can also be prepared with gravy which is eaten with roti, and chapati. One of those recipes is butter mushroom masala.
So this mushroom masala is very tasty to eat. You will be able to make mushroom hotel very easily with ingredients available at home. You can eat it with roti, chapati, naan, rice. So let's know how to make it...

Mushroom Masala Recipe | Butter Mushroom Masala
PREPARATION METHOD
Marination of Mushroom
- Wash the mushrooms thoroughly in water two to three times
- Now cut them into three or four pieces
- Put it in a big bowl
- put half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, salt, dry fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi) and curd and mix
Gravy Preparation and Cooking
- Now let's start to make gravy
- Heat a pan, put two tablespoons of oil in it, after the oil is slightly hot, add cumin, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom to it.
- Saute for a few seconds
- Now add chopped onion
- Fry the onion till golden brown
- Add ginger and garlic paste and fry for few seconds
- Now add tomatoes to it
- Now add red chili powder, half teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder and salt as per taste and cook till tomatoes soft
- Now add marinated mushrooms
- Mix the mushrooms well with the spices, close the lid and cook on a medium flame for 5 minutes.
- Open the lid and add a tablespoon of butter, chopped coriander leaves and ½ cup of water
- Mix well, Cover lid and cook for 2 minutes
- Butter mushroom masala is ready to serve with rice, roti, chapati, naan

- Mushrooms - 250g
- Garam masala powder - 1 teasp
- Turmeric powder - 1 teasp
- Dry Fenugreek leaves - 1 tbsp
- Curd - 2 tbsp
- Salt - ½ teasp
- For Gravy
- Cinnamon stick - 1
- Cardamom - 2
- Cloves - 4
- Cumin - 1 teasp
- Onion - 1 medium (finely chopped)
- Green Chilies - 2
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
- Tomato - 1 big (finely chopped)
- Red chili powder - 1tbsp
- Coriander powder - 1 teasp
- Turmeric powder - ½ teasp
- Salt - ½ teasp
- Butter - 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves
- Oil - 2 tbsp
