Fenugreek is very beneficial for our body . From seeds to leaves of fenugreek are used in a variety of dishes. This paratha is made by adding fenugreek leaves, wheat flour and some Indian spices along with it.
Fenugreek paratha (flatbread) is usually prepare with chopped fenugreek leaves but I am preparing this paratha by making slight changes in it. This fenugreek paratha is as delicious to eat as it is beneficial for our health. In this I will teach you in step by step method so that you can easily make paratha. So let's start making Methi Paratha.
Prep -Method
- First of all, clean the fenugreek leaves well and wash them in water two to three times.
- If there is small fenugreek leaves, then cut its root and throw it and wash it well in water two or three times.
- Now grind fenugreek leaves, green chilies, ginger pieces and a little water in a grinder jar.
- Now put the ground fenugreek leaves and wheat flour in a vessel
- In this add salt as per taste, one teaspoon carom seeds, half teaspoon red chili powder, 1 tablespoon oil and one tablespoon gram flour.
- Knead it properly
- If water is required, add some water and knead it
- Now make the kneaded dough into 7, 8 balls of the size of an orange and roll it like a roti (flatbread)
- Now heat a pan and roast this methi paratha well from both the sides.
- After roasting both side , apply a little ghee or oil on top and then roast it for 1 minute.
- Now take out the paratha in a plate
- Serve hot with curd and sugar or pickle

- 1 cup fenugreek leaves
- 2 cups wheat flour (300g)
- 3 green chilies
- 1 piece ginger
- 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon carom seeds
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 tbsp (besan) gram flour
- water as needed
- 4 tbsp oil/ghee for frying
