Sago khichdi is a healthy and tasty recipe. This recipe is made with soaked sago, boiled potatoes, ghee and some spices. You can make this recipe for breakfast or in fast (vrat).You will read step-by-step instructions and detailed ingredients
Preparation Method
- After washing the sago in water for 2 times, soak the sago for one hour
- Prepare all the ingredients and keep it
- Drain excess water from sago after soaked one hour
- Heat a pan and add 1 big spoon of ghee.
- After the ghee is hot, add cumin and let it fry for a few seconds
- Add green chili and ginger and stir for a while
- Add peanuts and fry for a minute
- Add potatoes and fry for a minute
- Add tomatoes and stir for a while
- Add soaked sago and remaining ingredients and fry on high heat for one to two minutes
- Ready to serve khichdi

- Peanut 1/2 cup
- Green chillies 2 finely chopped
- Tomatoes chopped 1
- Ginger 1 teaspoon finely chopped
- Rock salt 1 teaspoon
- Curry leaves 6
- lemon juice 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander leaves 2/3 cup
- Cumin 1 teaspoon
- Ghee 1 big spoon
