Veg/vegetable pulao in pressure cooker
Vegetable biriyani is very easy to prepare in pressure cooker. This vegetable biriyani is prepared in cooker.All ingredients are cooked in same pot only. It is one of the time saving recipe too.Once your ingredients are ready, then it takes less time to cook
The cooking time of this recipe is very less .It is one of the lunch/dinner pulao . It is combination of many vegetables and rice .You can use arhar(tur)/ moong dal to make it more nutritious .Salt ,ghee and some indian spices are used in it.
PREPARATION METHOD
- Wash and soak rice in water for 1/2 an hour
- Cut vegetables in medium size
- Heat a pressure cooker
- Pour oil into it
- Add cumin seeds , mustard seeds
- Saute for few secs
- Add chopped onion
- Saute for a minute or until it softens
- Add chopped vegetable and chopped green chillies
- Add salt and mix properly
- Close lid and cook for 5 mins in medium flame
- Add water, turmeric powder, ghee and let it boil
- Now, add soaked rice and curry leaves into it, mix well
- Once your rice is half cooked , add fried rice masala and lemon juice again mix well
- Close lid and cook either 5 to 7 mins or upto 2 whistles
- Rest it for 5 mins
- Now serve with pickle, salad or curd

INGREDIENTS
- 2 Rice cups
- 1 Carrot
- 1 medium potato
- 1 Onion
- Beans half 1 cup chopped
- Cauliflower 1/2 cup chopped
- 2 Green peas cut into 1/2 cup
- Cumin seed 1 tbsp
- Mustard Seed 1 tbsp
- 10 Curry leaves
- Turmeric powder 1 tbsp
- Salt 1 tbsp
- Ghee 2 tbsp
- Fried rice masala 2 tbsp
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Note :-
- If you want to Cook urgently then no need to soak rice in water
- Cut vegetables in medium pieces
- Don't open the lid instantly after cooking, cool for 5 mins before open
- Fried rice masala ( optional )
