Sakkar para Recipe is one type of indian traditional sweet Recipe. It is Specially made at the time of holi festival. It is sweet and crispy in taste.
Serving persons 5 to 6
Ingredients
All purpose(मैदा) flour 2 cup
Oil 3 tbs(तेल)
Asafoetida, (अजवाइन) 1 teasp
Salt (नमक) as per taste
Water as per required
Oil for frying 1/2 litre
Sugar (चिनी) 1 cup for syrup
Water 1 cup
Lemon juice 1teasp
Gulab jal 1teasp
Method
:-Take a big vessel and put all purpose flour, salt and 3 tbs of oil, asafoetida
:- Add water and make a hard dough
:- Knead it properly
:- Keep a side
Making of sugar syrup
:- In another pot, add sugar and water
:- Boil in full flame for 10 to 15 mins
:- If it is become sticky switch off the gas flame and add lemon juice and rosewater, keep a side
For making
:- Take a ball size of dough and roll it oval shape
:- cut from four sides and make rectangular shape
:- Then cut from middle
:- make sure both sides are closed
:- Fold it once and stick with water
:- Fold it another time and fix with water
:- Then close both end, Hold on one end and insert in the middle
:- Fold opposite direction and close another end
:- Make a leaf design
:- prepare all like this
For frying
:- Heat oil in a kadhai or pan
:- Fry both sides till golden brown in medium flame
:- Taking out of oil and put in sugar syrup for 3 mins
:- Then taking out from sugar syrup and serve hot or cool for 15 mins and store it in a container
Note:
* Make sure dough is hard
* Fry in medium flame
* After frying, don't keep more then 3 mins in the sugar syrup
